Hispanic Heritage Month

National Hispanic Heritage Month was celebrated in various ways at Phoenix. On September 15, Phoenix had Hispanic Heritage dress up day, which gave the opportunity for many to display Hispanic culture in a positive way. Every week Mrs. Prado had a Hispanic trivia for students and the weekly winners received a gift certificate to Los Agaves. In 6th grade dual classes, students researched Hispanic countries and held Zoom meetings with students in El Salvador. In 7th grade dual classes, students researched Hispanic Nobel Prize winners and made bookmarks. In 8th grade dual classes, students researched Hispanic astronauts and made posters. We are proud of our community and the positive contributions Hispanics have made for our country.
