A message from the Principal

Hello! My name is Blake Rowe, and I am the Associate Principal at Phoenix Middle School. I grew up in the Village of North Prairie where I attended the Kettle Moraine School District. While I was in high school, I moved to the City of Delafield before going to UW-Madison for my undergraduate degree. While at UW-Madison, I majored in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Education. I spent my time doing student-teaching in the Verona Area School District, Sun Prairie Area School District and Madison Metropolitan School District. I coached both high school football and baseball at Verona Area High School. After graduation, I worked in the School District of Milton for five years as a teacher as well as football and track coach. I graduated with a Master of Education Degree in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment in 2016 from National Louis University. Once my wife and I started to have children, we moved to the Mukwonago area, where we currently live, to be closer to our families. This led me to taking a teaching position in the Waterford Graded School District where I taught and coached for four years. While teaching in Waterford, I graduated with a Master in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University in 2021. This will be my second year as Associate Principal of Phoenix Middle School.

My wife, Elle, and I have three little girls, Ilah (5), Sophie (3), and Lydia (1). Most of our free time is spent at ballet or gymnastics class, but two of my favorite things to do are golf and spend time on the lake. Another passion of mine is all Wisconsin sports. Being an alumni of UW-Madison, I love all Badger sports as well as the Packers, Bucks and Brewers.

I love working with kids, and I am extremely excited to work with your kids this year and for many years to come. If you happen to have any questions, comments, or concerns at any point during the school year, I encourage you to email or call me. At Phoenix, we want to partner with our parents/guardians so that our students can be as successful as possible.

Sincerely,
Blake Rowe, Principal
