Dr. Sorbie, District Administrator, has stated in a recent district newsletter that she may call some 2 hour delays this school year if the weather warrants it. This will allow students and staff to arrive at school with safer road conditions without missing a full day of instruction.
All transportation would continue as normal, just two hours later than normal to allow for safer road conditions. Students will have the opportunity to eat breakfast when they arrive to school (assorted cereal with graham crackers which is currently a daily choice).
Our school day would officially start at 10:15 when the bell rings to send students to class. Most of the teacher teams have decided that the content the students missed during those 2 hours will be missed for the day. Specials will run as normally scheduled.
Our lunch schedule will be at the normally scheduled times (4th grade at 11:00 and 3rd grade at 11:45). The lunch choice on 2 hour delay days for elementary students will be Tony's cheese pizza regardless of what the menu states.
Please plan ahead now to make arrangements should a 2 hour delay be called. We need your students at school!
