These 4th grade students completed the most lessons in the online math program called Dreambox. Well done kids!

Report cards will be sent home with your child this afternoon. Please review the report with your child. Keep the report card, but please sign and return the envelope so we can reuse it next trimester. If you have any questions regarding the report, please reach out to your child's teacher(s).

Lunch menu change for Friday, Dec. 13th: The first option will still be the same as scheduled (Cheese and pepperoni flatbread). The second choice has changed. It will NOT be a Turkey BLT wrap. Instead it will be a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Reminder...Tuesday, December 17th is Darien's Winter Sing/Honor Choir/Orchestra Concert at Phoenix Middle School. Everyone is working hard and we are all excited to share with our amazing efforts! All students will be performing the "Nutcracker Suite" Mini-Musical for our Winter Sing. Details of when to arrive and what to wear are below. Here is the schedule for the evening all at Phoenix Middle School: 5:00pm 3rd grade/Bridge families drop off in Cafeteria, 5:30pm 3rd grade/Bridge students perform in Phoenix Middle School (PXMS) Auditorium 5:45pm 4th grade Honor Choir families drop off in Cafeteria, 6:15pm Honor Choir in PXMS Auditorium 6:15pm 4th grade families drop off in Cafeteria, 6:45pm 4th grade in PXMS Auditorium Orchestra students: drop off their instruments in cases with music and place them on the chair/by the chair where you see your name in the Gymnasium before your Honor Choir/Winter Sing performances, 7:30pm 4th grade Orchestra in PXMS Gymnasium What to wear? Please wear dress clothes: for example, girls a holiday dress or nice pants and sweater, nice dress shoes. Boys: slacks with button down shirt & tie or sweater, nice dress shoes. All are welcome to our Veterans Day assembly being held at Darien on Monday, Nov. 11th at 2:15 pm as we honor our veterans for their service.

A reminder that parent conferences are scheduled for tonight,Tuesday, Oct. 29th and Thursday, November 7th from 4:00-7:00 pm. Please reach out to your child's teacher or return the form that was sent home with your child to schedule a time. The teachers will be here to meet with you and would LOVE to have their schedule filled with parent meetings. Thanks in advance!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Darien student and staff are supporting two staff who are fighting cancer by wearing Pink on Thursday, Oct. 10th. Students are encouraged to participate as well. Don’t have a pink shirt to wear? How about socks or shoes? Please do but send hats as students are not to wear hats at school.
